When someone is talking about 5 million dollars a day, I think they are talking about costs not expanding costs.
Maybe it's just me understanding English better?

george hunter · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Jones is a two faced democrat. Don't like to judge on appearance but he looks like a evangelical far right nut job. Ha ha! Alabama got screwed either way.

gameplaytactics · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

are you pro rape?

Casey Russell · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Or He's choosing to play his cards right! But we will see..Greed seems to be ruling everything.

beatrix · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

"We need to move on and not get distracted by those issues." – Wow, Doug Jones. You let us down. The whole purpose of alllllll these brave women, as well as men, sharing their sexual assault stories in recent months (in Hollywood and politics alike) is to bring the issue of sexual assault to the forefront & create legitimate social change. And then you have the audacity to say that we musn't be "distracted by those issues," basically telling us:
Just kidding, you don't really matter.

Screw you.

esaesa07 · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Of course he is and if he pretends not to be we all know that he just as most of white americans shares the same sentiment and thinking that he, trump, his whole cabinet, white supremacy, dylan roof and roy moore does.

Lucis Ferre · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Ugh. I knew I shouldn't have watched this. Ignoring reality to a degree may not alleviate unpleasantness in any real way, but at the very least one should have something to eat BEFORE watching something so odious.

blaquehart b · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Last Jedi going to be a great movie.?Gotcha!! Trump going to make America great again? Gotcha!! Ralph Northam going to expand medicaid? GOTCHA!!! When will we learn lol.

Republicans who pretend to be democrats

crickey73 · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Actually, Jones has it right. He knows the danger of Pence. Whom do you think is going to take over if Trump resigns? Hillary?

sunnydaze80 · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Can't trust southern democrats

Molly LittleBird · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Haha! Of course he is for the repubs! The democraps and repubs are the same party and serve the same rich masters.  I am glad that the pedophile did not win but who can celebrate another democrap liar winning?  Neither party represents us the regular people and to pretend differently is naïve at best!

New York CITY THE BIG APPLE · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Replace him in the future with a Progressive Democrat.

Dylan Scott · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

It would probably be better to hand drawing of the districts for both the House of Representatives and the Virginia House of Delegates over to an independent panel. Ideally both would reflect the actual votes of the people, irregardless of which party wins. Just because the Republican would likely draw things to suit his own party, in a way that did not accurately reflect the will of the people, that doesn't mean the Democrat should do so in response. The other issue is that if you allow incumbents to draw the districts, Democrat and Republican alike, they are likely going to carve out the safest possible districts for themselves, making at uncompetitive as possible to try assure their own re-election. Obviously there are always issues with making absolutely sure any independent panel is truly independent, but I don't begrudge a Democratic governor saying he is not going to gerrymander in a way that gives the Democrats a disproportional number of representatives and delegates.

The other issues are another story however.

Jessie Torres · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Democrats ever bing progressives is a pipe dream.

AG · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Well, the morons in the Dem primary, especially in Northern Virginia, voted for the establishment candidate, many of whom are people who need Medicaid. People don't do any homework, they just for the name they recognize most.

Zbo Paycolo · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

He's European, what do people expect? Honesty? Yeah right.

YA HIBACHI · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Being a progressive from Alabama, I can promise a progressive would not have won “easier”

morpheos111 · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Being progressive wins elections? No, getting the support of the Democratic base does. And Sanders lost the African Americans. By alot.

Rita Butler · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Jones has his Republican talking points down cold for Trump.

Anonymous Anonymously · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Cenk, this is pathetic. He's representing one of the most conservative states in Alabama. Not only that, he by no means is even endorsing Trump or his policies.

Diana Hatze · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

WTF …what is wrong with these "democrats"! Take the money out of politics!!!!

Collected Canadian · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Too funny. Wank – You yourself are a "Hillary People" haha!

Doug Jones Voters Predator…

Honovi007 · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Doug Jones cannot win re-election by out Republicaning Republicans

Christopher Brown · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Why don't you wait to criticize him before he has a voting record, Cenk? He has to represent Alabama, the fifth most Republican state in the country.

Alexander Winn · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Doug Jones has to be conservative, because he is from ALABAMA you GIMP. In the primary Bernie Sanders got absolutely hammered by Hillary Clinton in Alabama 19.2% to 77.8%. But apparently Cenk thinks progressives would have won easier. How can you genuinely be this deluded ?

SecretaryOfState · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Couple things Cenk. Given the dubious nature of southern progressiveness, I'm sure that most voters knew that whichever Democrat they got would be a bit of a fixer-upper. To southerners, their state elections were comparable to a Clinton v. Trump match-up, where they had to choose between a potentially flawed Democrat, and the end of the world. Moreover, the fact that these southern Dems are as disappointing as they are, post election, is evidence to my claim that we need to disband all political parties in this country. Without the unearned party support, flawed candidates wouldn't be able to pose as wolves in sheep's clothing. All candidates would have to run on their own merits. There is so much more to explore in the concept where a republican supreme court can be rendered neutral by simply abolishing all political parties. I wish more political scientists would explore this concept as a more pragmatic one.

Coming to rescue of the corrupt D party is not making any sense. The institutions of the USA are corrupt. As impossible as it may seem, we have to start over. Fail with R party. Fail with the D party.

David Gonçalves · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

You're disgusting, Chunk. There's no new allegations against president Trump. The voters were well aware of who Trump was before the election and what he did/said, and they elected him anyways. Now swallow it and stop this cancerous fake outrage. Progressives hate you. If you want to impeach Trump at all costs, just state it clearly, but don't hide behind a curtain of lies. Greasy idiot. What Doug Jones said in that last clip is probably some of the most reasonable words that have come out of his mouth, but since you're too busy playing "politique" games and being intellectually dishonest, you don't want to see that.

Secrets No More · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

How does Cenk Uygar sell his brand to people who dont actually need it?…..is there a strategy or is it purely bullhorn?

Secrets No More · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Once again how do you get people who dont need help to vote for progressives?….help should be taken by people who need it- people who stubbornly vote to the right. But there are plenty who dont actually need help- at all. They dont need what Cenk + the Justice Dems are selling. How do you convert them?….if these people are not converted….it'll be one successive centrist or rightist candidate win after another.

CyberCanadian · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Bob Martin · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Misstatement. Jones said the allegations against the President surfaced before the election. Franken's accusers came after.

Peter Wells · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Cenk is living in a different world than me.

This video makes no sense to me.

He obviously does not understand that all politics is local.

Leah Vandenborre · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

If you truly think a progressive would've won "easier" in Alabama you're either bullshitting to a level I have never seen or you don't understand the fact that some people just don't like progressism and that in some area's there are a lot of people that don't like it. And if you don't believe me, just look at the Democratic primary in 2016 in Alabama.

VIP Education Services · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Once again, the real battle is in the primaries.

William Harris · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

I wonder if most of the right wing trolls that cry on TYT common boards realize what a odd combination of sad and funny you are

John Rife · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Julie Brasfield · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

I think Jones has a long term strategy in keeping his head down on this one. I could be wrong but let's wait and see. If he rails against Trump right now he will definitely lose the next election as a lot of Alabama are Trump ass kissers. It's a long shot for him to win anyway if they get a republican candidate such as Mo Brooks for example. Also a stupid asshole but the kind the right here loves. Jones is in a difficult position and now it's come to light his son is gay. That won't play well here. Just facts😒

Steve Nickerson · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Cenk knows nothing about nothing. Just basic easy to understand things like ordinary people.

B33SON · December 31, 2017 at 3:24 pm

Jones is a fool. Acting like a Republican when he is not. Anyone who likes that will just vote for a real Republican next time.
