“In an interview with ABC News’ Jonathan Karl, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) bemoaned the direction his party is taking, claiming that the crowds at many Donald Trump and Republican rallies reveal that the GOP is dying.

Asked about Breitbart chief Steve Bannon’s support of defeated Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore and how Bannon convinced Trump to inevitably endorse Moore, Flake said he hoped Bannon role in the GOP had now been “marginalized.”

“The last thing we need is to push that — ultra-nationalist — ethno-nationalist, protectionist element of the party,” Flake added. “It’s not good for us.”

Theis led Karl to ask the Arizona lawmaker about the risks to the Republican Party if it continues to go the Bannon and “Trump direction,” wondering aloud if the GOP could lose the Senate.”

Do I think Republicans politicians will do the Right Thing? People…What do You Think?

sickofamericanidol · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

I thought Sarah Palin as VP with McCain was the sign that this is a party in its death throes. Its a morally and intellectually bankrupty party. But Trump won last year, despite having NO experience and even less integrity, and Republicans took Congress. I think there needs to be more parties. It's frightening to vote for a third or fourth party because you know you vote for a loser. What happened to Hillary is the worst example of what could happen though the Jill Steins, the Cenk Uygurs say she didn't lose to Trump — a man elected because he refused to call a black President an American — because of votes to third parties. Sometimes the way forward is fraught with justified terror.

Fat Lazy Loser with the same old BS on the Russian collusion Theory. At least Rachel Maddow works up a sweat.

Audrey Muzingo · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

. I think the 'red cap' thing was one of the most brilliant aspects of Trump's campaign. Old white guys will happily go anywhere they can wear a cap, which hides their baldness

I'd honestly say the Democratic Party is dying. I personally think both are full of shit, and have flaws. But for the past year, democrats and liberals have been eating themselves. There's also the DNC rigging the debate between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Bernie even knew about this ahead of time, but was paid of with 20 grand.

These Republicans are complete pussies! What are you going to do, FLAKE, when this fucktard actually does fire Mueller? Are you going to join the impeachment crowd? If not, you're just as bad as he is!

Gary Truthteller · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

That IS an interesting way to put it, by gosh… And true, hopefully.

Flake is a two-faced piece of shit. He was bought like the rest of the ass kissers. Most need to get the hell out! I'd keep maybe 5 out of all of them!

LA One · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

No doubt about it, anyone who wears the faces of a candidate on their chests, heads, asses, wherever are born kooks and should not be allowed to own guns, nor vote!

Clubland Exrcixe · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

When EVERY analysis of the wealth redistribution law says that 80% of the benefit is to the already obscenely wealthy and corporations and what little the middle class will get will go away in 2025 and an extra 10% tax will be tacked on to pay for those PERMANENT filthy rich's tax cuts well it's PAST time for the electorate to be PO'd that they're getting it laid on them!   Now Lyin Ryan is already speaking of taking away or cutting food stamps, medicaid, medicare, and social security and. he's going to find that the 60
votes needed to force those cuts are NOT going to be there!!

Chris Newman · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Andrew Brent · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

This country is not one of laws but rather a country of people who have written laws. The laws mean nothing unless someone enforces them. Right now, the GOP is failing "big league" to put a check on Trump's habitual lying and threats to the most fundamental tenets of our democracy. Unless the Republicans stand up to this dictator their will be a constitutional crisis and widespread civil unrest by the majority who did not vote for him.

Justin Hernandez · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Yea, no, I'm a college republican, we are still here. What's more, generation Z is coming up more conservative then millennials. Millennials are the outlier, they are abnormal, and will soon be outnumbered.

Slower-Minds-Keep-Right · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Bush is a war criminal – Obama never prosecuted his administration- why is it different now Cenk?

Olden McGroin · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Get real – the president is above the law. Even Nixon survived until he tried to point out the Watergate break in was connected to the CIA. As Chuck Shumer said – if you take on the intelligence agencies, they have seven ways from Sunday to come after you. As long as Trump allows the intelligence agencies to do as they please, he will be just fine … until he decides he's made enough money and is willing to resign and ride off into the sunset.

LoDoFilmUnlimited · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

So, in reality, Jeff Flake IS smart. He just chooses NOT TO BE! Interesting.

Sheri French · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

The writings on the wall!!

pliny · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Trump doesn't care about people and their problems-only his DONORS. When people finally realize this-they will turn on him.

93% want a pathway to citizenship. That must mean the other 7% live near me or are the only conservatives on social media.

Tippo Pocoloco · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

You wish! Lol!

Kelvin Waters · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

Republicans fully support Trumps agenda, making the rich richer.

The Snow Nigro · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

A rino, the dying part of the Republican party, said Trump supporters are "Spasms of a Dying Party"

Heath Fletcher · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

The republican party is run by conservative media, rather than the republican party running conservative media.

ecwaufisxtreme · December 30, 2017 at 10:26 pm

The DEMS are the real dying party! Tulsi Gabbard and Bernie supporters are the Spasms of a Dying party! The Drumpf's supporters are the strongest and most numerous supporters in this country!
