This is a little different from what I’m used to but, here is the 2008 Election (with Recession, Iraq, etc involved) if Al Gore won in 2000 and 2004.

When did you switch party affiliations?

PJ Johnson · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I think President Obama would still win NH.

jeffreyj432 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

The big reason I think McCain would lose is because of Sarah Palin

schnuurtchke · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Had Al Gore become president, there would've been no way that a democrat would've come close to winning in 2008. Even if Al Gore was the president in 2001, he probably would've lost in 2004.

Fox The Foxy Trot · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Bias -_- you cant have 24 years of democrats stop with this fucking bias

Jesus R. · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

If we’re assuming Gore was elected in 2000 and ‘04 while carrying his home state of Tennessee, and that he leaves the presidency without the 2008 recession like Bush did, with 55%+ approval ratings, I actually think Obama could’ve carried Tennessee as well as Missouri. I mean, McCain barely carried Missouri by a 0.2% margin. I think Gore’s hypothetical popularity in the south could’ve kept those states in the Democratic column.

Kawhi sexual · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

McCain was a ticket for presidency for Democratic

Opinion Fighter · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

If this actually happened, that means 20 years of democratic rule. Holy Shit!! Thats would be a big blow to Republicans!

Kaston Hall · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Elizabeth Warren/Sherrod Brown vs Pence/Haley

MrSRArter · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

McCain probably would've also been the nominee in 2004 if Gore won 2000.

Bloodwolf 720 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

So basically it would be much closer if it's an Al Gore Presidency?

Victor Stevens · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

actually Obama carried VA by 7%

Mudabbir Ahmed · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

No actual we can say Al Gore would’ve been better than Bush… Bush was a fucking idiot.
Now with Trump he seems like Einstein but his core problem that made any issue worse was that he was a blithering idiot.

fishlove69 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

McCain isn't very popular. He still would've lost as he did in 2008. He didn't even come close.

Specific Nerpo · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

What if McCain won in 08 and then it would be Trump vs Hillary 2016?

Vector Garza · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Do this exact same scenario for the 2012 Election (still Romney vs Obama)

Christopher Morris · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I read an alternate history thing where Al Gore won in 2000 and ran against Rudy Giuliani in 2004. I was hoping you could do an election like that.

Arman K · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Al Gore with a 25% approval. Barack Obama not being able to campaign on (CHANGE).

After 16 years of one party holding power. The idea of change would become astronomically popular. Especially if there is a recession.

So this prediction is undoubtingly wrong. John Mccain would have received 400+ electoral votes in this scenario.

Trey Cranfield · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Do the tutorial!!!

KCH Plays · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Virginia and New Hampshire Would go to obama obama got 52% In virginia Obama got 54% In NH

Caleb McCoy · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Do more of the discussion videos, and fewer "election nights." These videos the viewer can actually see your reasoning.

TheMCPlayer2003 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Virginia went for oBama by 6%

Martin Ayala · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Thank you for making Iowa blue.it made my day

TheMCPlayer2003 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Wow, I tried this scenario but my result was McCain getting 274 EV to Obama's 264 EV while Obama won the popular vote by about 4 million. That's how I hunk it would go, but good analysis!

Every video you make the democrats win….

Gus Randle · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Do 2008 HRC vs. Pawlenty under this scenario because in 2004 the dem convention is not a big deal and gets paid no attention so BO loses and Pawlenty wins because republicans will need rust belt appeal

Nathan Brown · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

ELECTION NIGHT TUTORIAL

I do mine on Google Slides it looks identical and you should just play the election music on a different tab.

DONUTBUZZCUT · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

You say Virginia narrowly went for Obama in 08,no He won it by 6.3% large then he won Ohio by that's not narrow!

Pround Democrat · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Brian vs Elections · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

plz do torelall on election because i do on channel but with your help they become better

SneekyBeefy · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I agree with the predictions, other then Iowa.Iowa is trending Republican and has been for a while, but McCain is old and tired. With the Bill Clinton scandals, and the ressession, I think Iowa would to republican, Gore carried it by 4000 votes

snailsth102 · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Yeah do a tutorial! I'd love to see an election night tutorial!

Jakob Smith · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

Will you please bring back CSA or 13 colonies election nights i miss them

Jakob Smith · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

If Al Gore were president during that time the recession wouldn't have happened because Gore wouldn't have given massive tax cuts to Wall Street and wouldn't have done massive widespread deregulation like Bush did.

Megakev · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

3 Democrat Presidents in a row.

Stathi Katehis · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

McCain would have won bigger

XenoVolt · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I wouldn't put California safe blue. It was close in 2004. And after 16 years of Democratic rule, Republicans would win easily.

Andys Randomness · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I would like to see how you make your election maps

Spectacular Spider-Man · December 31, 2017 at 12:50 am

I think if Al Gore became president, he'd loose in 2004 if Gulinani were the nominee.
